Monica's Vintage Fair
Today we all went along to Monica's Vintage fair in Gravesend.
I haven't been to the previous one's but the Baker Girls
(Jon's mummy and her sisters! 'the aunties' as I call them!) have gone before and have loved it.
I have always been working when it's been on
but I purposely made sure I booked work off for it!

We all dressed up for the occasion!
Left to Right- Gill, Jacquie, me and Carole

I bought 2 of these hair pieces from this beautiful stall
'Alice Brown's Cupboard'
A beautiful stall 'Vintage Curves' had original vintage wedding dresses, and recreated Vintage dresses made by hand below the lovely ladies below.

Deadly Is The Female

Last sunday I did some modelling for the website.
I cannot express how much I have always loved the clothes that they sell
and I was honoured to be asked to model for them.

I arrived to be greeted by the lovely owner herself Claudia and her team.
Hair and Makeup was styled by Lolita Noir

Had a look at what Lolita Noir/ Claudia had planned
prior to the shoot of what
my makeup and would look like.

My hair was to be like Betty Pages, Katy Perry etc.

The shoot was really fun we had a really good giggle, and I really couldn't decide which dress was my favourite and which one I am going to chose!
we got to pick our own music when it was our turn to model.
My choice of music while modelling was....Girls Aloud and The Pussy Cat Dolls!
Can't beat a good bit of girlie pop to get you going!

SHOES! I am IN LOVE with the Vivienne Westwood- Skyscrapers wore
them lots during the shoot.....the most COMFORTABLE heels I have ever worn!
on my wish list!

Gomez the dog.

And here are a few of the shots....wanna see more?

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May

Here's what I wore today and tuesday,

Completely super duper in love with my new boat hat from Gilly.
(thank you so much Gill!)
I tried it on in the most bizarrest of places... (is bizarrest even a word...nope it's not! ah well there are no rules on my blog!)
Found it in a garden centre and fell in love with it, but didn't have my wallet with me?! Gutted.
Yesterday came home and Gilly got it for me as a surprise.

Dress- Charity shop
Cardigan- Primark
Bag- Camden Market

Shakespear's 18th Sonnet

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date,

Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed,
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimmed.

But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow'st,
Nor shall death brag thou wand'rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow'st.

So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Divine Vintage

Well shortly after I wrote my blog post about my LOVE of Camden Market and my little feature of a vintage store that I came across that took my fancy
 'Berty and Gerty'
they read my post and got in contact and asked me if I would for me to do some modelling for their

I used to love making collages when I was younger of things I loved
so I made a collage of all the outfits I modelled. x

What I love most about this particular vintage store is that the couple that own it  "Berty and Gerty" (their alter egos!) hand select every single piece they sell.  Rather than some vintage stores seem to be like a jumble sale of odds and ends and you're trailing through the rails, Berty and Gerty has some truly divine vintage gems.

It is so hard to say which pieces I loved the most as after I tried on outfit after outfit
I kept saying to Emma (Gerty)
"Oh I love this one!" and "Oh gosh this one is amazing".
Seriously! and even pieces that I would never usually consider wearing, I loved.

Everything single thing you see me wearing you can buy right now from their
ASOS Market Place shop (click!)
wherever you are in the world they ship worldwide too!
while stocks last of course! and when you do! send me a photo of you wearing it and i'll
feature you on 'The Cinnamon Slipper'.

Now you're gonna say well which ones are your favourite?
Well these one's would have to be.

The Cinnamon Slipper's fab 3

1. Sequin Corset- I absolutely loved this the second I put it on! up close it reminded me of a mermaids tail! the bead work was divine and fitted me perfectly.
2. The Crop Top/Skirt Combo- I have never really done the crop top combination before myself,
but this style was flattering on my body shape. The crop top was very reminiscent
of an old fashioned gypsy- style look.
3. Retro Print Shirt- My weakness is quirky prints and this shirt's colours complimented one another perfectly, and the prints were off old fashioned Paris posters.
