10 Points to GRYFFINDOR!!

Thursday was such an amazing day that both Jon and myself have eagerly been looking forward to. I literately cannot stop smiling and bouncing around from the sheer excitement of it all. My dear friend Sandy works at The Harry Potter Studios (best job ever?) and very kindly gave Jonathan and I complimentary tickets to go. I took an insane amount of photos on the day (like the true Asian inside me!) and managed to whittle it down to these favourites.

Everything was quite simply incredible, the detail and work that the Harry Potter creative team went to was astounding. Designers and artists would spend months making certain items that would only feature in the movies for a matter of seconds.

The Butter beer I was really looking forward to and it did not disappoint. It's a rich butterscotch soda drink with a butterscotch frothy topping. If you go to the tour this is a must! In hindsight I should of gone back for another one!

My favourite part of the tour had to be 'Diagon Alley' the set was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Just walking around the corner both Jon and I said "AHHH!! it's Diagon Alley!!!". The H.P Soundtrack was in full swing playing along and fellow fans were dressed in the Quidditch gear which really did add to the whole feel of the place.

Last and my no means least we hit the gift shop!- Always my favourite part of any amusement park. This is the gift shop of all gift shops. I'm not gonna lie everything is a little bit on the expensive side so choosing your perfect Harry Potter memento has to be thought about. I was deciding between a chocolate frog, the every flavour beans but decided to get a Hogwarts glass tumbler instead (which will last forever).
"Please not Slytherin....."

The quality of the items were fantastic whether you're after a chocolate wand, a time turner, an owl backpack, a Hogwarts uniform, or the entire book collection. I highly recommend going to the Harry Potter Studios if you're a big fan it really is a fantastic trip out had by all! A big big Thank you to Sandy x

  1. Amazing! So glad that you both had a wonderful time and the opportunity to go! Your pictures are fantastic, and I'd love to see more of them. I only just finished watching the entire Harry Potter movie series again actually. As a child and adolescent of course I had an immense love for Harry Potter, but seeing it again in my adult life only made me appreciate the story on a much higher level. Really, I don't know if in my lifetime I will ever see another story so well done and so very loved.
By the way, those butter beers sound incredible!

  5. I could not agree more, the whole tour is such an incredible experience for any Harry Potter fan. I'm with you on the Butterbeer too - I know not everyone has been too keen on it but I was pleasantly surprised and drank mine fairly speedily! :-)
